Disposal

Presently, five Island-class patrol vessels are in active service with the Bangladesh Navy. They are BNS Karatoa (ex-HMS Alderney (P984)), BNS Kapatakhaya (ex-HMS Shetland (P973)), BNS Turag (ex-HMS Lindisfarne (P975)), BNS Gomati (ex-HMS Anglesey (P983)) and BNS Sangu (ex-HMS Guernsey (P974)). Another ex-RN Island-class vessel, HMS Jersey (P295), is used as training ship, BNS Ruhul Amin.
